All of this mess with Google, China, and Google China has come to a head as of late.

Now, it seems that the word getting pushed around is that Google is about to close up shop and it is happening sooner than everyone has imagined it would.

Google has been optimistic about their presence in China, with some assuming that the company would shift in their views and positions or at least figure out a way to work with the Chinese government to meet both their needs. However, there is no surprise that the two of them probably could not compromise. Even if the last few things swirling around were that Google…

Viewsonic is looking to be a more serious contender in the desktop PC field, with the rollout of its compact Viewsonic VOT120 PC Mini.

The VOT120 is a roughly 5.2 x 1.5 x 4.5 inches (HWD) metal box, making it much smaller than the Apple Mac mini (Core 2 Duo 2.26GHz). The VOT120’s VESA mount uses the same space to attach the PC on the back of your monitor. The end result is like having an all-in-one desktop PC, where the “guts” of the PC are easily replaceable.

The VOT120’s black metal chassis is compact, but it has a lot going on outside: There are four USB ports and an eSATA port.

Over the past few weeks, a number of reports state that Google China is shutting down. Now, it looks like Google has come up with a solution to their censorship row with the Chinese Government.

Google.cn now re-directs to Google.hk, so anyone in China who goes to Google.cn will see search results from Google.hk, which Google are calling an ‘entirely legal’ way of giving people in mainland China unfiltered search results.

Although many of the results will be blocked by firewalls in China, so maybe this isn’t really a solution for Chinese Google users. The Chinese government has responded to the move by Google saying “Google has violated its written promise it…

The designer, Onur Karaalioglu has created an interesting design concept for a computer mouse and named it the Ceramic Passion Mouse. The Ceramic Passion Mouse features a stylish design.

Whilst you might think the Ceramic Passion Mouse Concept looks like a high end gaming mouse it is actually designed with music in mind.

Besides the standard mouse buttons features, the Ceramic Passion Mouse Concept also comes with a range of music buttons that allow you to select tracks, albums, play and pause tunes as well as turning up and down the volume.

This seems like a great design concept, especially the white mouse; it is refreshing to see something different than the standard…

If you are into a PC that can turn into a TV tuner, Gateway DX4300-15e got you covered.

The DX4300-13e comes in the same case Gateway uses in its other midtower desktops. As a midtower PC it isn’t particularly well-suited to the living room, but its glossy black plastic exterior isn’t so hideous that you need to keep it from all public sight. Most low-cost midtower desktops tend to look the same, and for the most part the DX4300-15e is no exception.

The specifications of Gateway DX4300-15e are AMD Phenom II X4 810 / 2.6 GHz processor type; Quad-Core; L2 cache with 6 MB cache size; 8 GB / 8 GB (max)…
