A senior Samsung executive has confirmed that the company will release a ‘slate’ PC in the second half of 2010.

While remaining modest on the platform the slate would use, the director of Samsung Australia’s IT division, Philip Newton, revealed that the PC-grade processing power and connectivity would be cornerstones of the device.

“The problems I see with the iPad are its processing power and (lack of) connectivity to a certain extent” Newton said during a panel discussion at the Samsung Forum in Singapore.

“I do feel that that slate-type platform has legs but I think the legs need to be far more powerful, for example an Atom-based product which has far greater…

Samsung has a number of netbooks and notebooks that sells. The matte screen N220 netbook unveiled in December 2009. Samsung is getting ready to unveil a new netbook later this year that runs the Google Chrome OS.

The computer maker is not sporting full specifications on the device. What we do know is that it will run the Chrome OS, have integrated 3G, WiFi and a battery good for 12 hours of run time. You can count on that battery life estimate being inflated.

The Chrome netbook is said to be very similar to the Samsung N210 with a 10.1-inch LED backlit screen. That would make sense given the 10.1-inch range is…

The specifications for the new Samsung N220 netbook tha uses the new Intel Atom N450 processor has surfaced online. The netbook is much better looking that the oddly designed Samsung N310 released back in September 2009. The new Samsung N220 model has popped up on a French retailer site called Rue de Commerce.

The Samsung N220 has a 10.1-inch matte finish 1024 x 600 screen. That matte finish is a great thing for those like me who loathe glossy screens with gobs of glare and sets this netbook apart from the masses. The netbook also has 1GB of RAM, 250GB of storage and runs Windows 7 starter edition.

Connectivity features include 802.11b/g/n,…

Imagine seeing everything in color. Every detail brightly expressed. Vivid. Everything will come to life with the Samsung 2243SWX Monitor. This 21.5” widescreen LCD display monitor from Samsung is both efficient and stylish.

This desktop display has those curves and the piano black finish that everyone loves.  You can swivel this monitor so you can choose the angle that you would want to watch that video, or type that report. And of course, it also tilts. Some say that tilting might be a little tricky, but for some people this is a good point because the base where it swivels is tight.

The display features a 1920 x 1080 native resolution and…
