Microsoft has just launched information regarding its new muscle control interface technology which allows you to control devices using your muscles. The Microsoft Muscle Control opens up a whole new dimension in possible game and real world controllers for devices.

The new technology uses “electromyography”, or EMG which records the electrical activity of muscles and translates those signals into instructions.

Microsoft lost its appeal in a Federal Court in the patent case brought against Microsoft by i4i Ltd of Canada in lieu of the use of their XML related patents similarly used in Microsoft Word 2007.

Beginning the 11th of January 2010, Microsoft will have to stop selling Microsoft Word – which basically means Microsoft Office – unless they compromise with out of the court settlement with i4i before the specified date.

Some say that Microsoft just cannot catch a break. For others, Microsoft is just getting exactly what it deserves.

It really does not matter which side you are on because it seems that Microsoft might finally have the EU off of its outrageous back. According to the reports that surfaced said that the software giant is nearing approval for a new browser ballot screen demanded by the European Commission.

As everybody knows, rivals Mozilla, Opera and Google also submitted change requests to EU regulators in hopes of having browser selection boxes randomized and not displayed within Internet Explorer.

Some ISPs add annoying branding to the title lines of their Internet Explorer (IE) browsers, such as “Provided by Comcast.”

The current versions of Internet Explorer including version 8, you can control the text through an entry in the registry.

Click Start, click Run, and enter regedit. Navigate to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main. In the right-hand pane find a value named Window Title. Double-click it to change its data. Either delete the text or change it to something that pleases you. If you don’t see the value, right-click in the right-hand pane and choose New | String Value. Name the value Window Title and then proceed as above.

Tokyo – According to Acer Inc., the world’s No. 2 PC maker, Microsoft Corps Windows 7 operating system that was released last month has been positive for the year-end PC sales.

Acer’s CEO said it was keeping its quarterly revenue outlook and maintaining a 15 percent sales growth target for next year.

The expected sales in October – December has to stay flat from the previous quarter and increase 25 percent from last year.

Acer - who expects 50 percent growth in the global netbook market to 42 million units in 2010 - reported a quarterly net profit of $108 million last month, which is up by 14 percent from a year earlier.

Chris Liddell, Microsoft Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), is to depart from the company at the end of this year stating that he is in search for a better job with another company.

Since May 2005, Chris Liddell has been the CFO of the world’s largest software company – after joining from the paper and packaging maker, International Paper Co, where he was also a CFO.

Microsoft stated that Liddell is now “looking at a number of opportunities that will expand his career beyond being a CFO.”

In three years time a new version of Windows will be released. After the five-year draw out between XP and Vista, Microsoft now wants to get back on track with the release of the new Windows 8.

At Professionals Developer’s Conference in LA last week, a slide disclosed that the next generation desktop Operating System (OS) is due on 2012 – about three years after the launch of Windows 7 and following the release of Vista in November 2006.
