Firefox 3.6 was launched on January 21, 2010. The new version of Firefox is now available to download. Although, the release has been delayed, which was expected last December can only be good, with all the reported problems Internet Explorer is having at the moment.

Which have already led to increase downloads of Firefox. New features in Firefox 3.6 include better JavaScript performance, increased stability and support for HTML5 and changes in third-party software integration. Together with Personas – that allow you to change Firefox’s appearance without having to restart the browser.

The version 4 of Firefox is expected to be launched this summer.

Overheating problems may be caused in some laptops specifically in ultraportable notebooks alongside CPU usage problems when using Firefox.

You may find something like “you can review and monitor CPU usage through specific tools” in the Mozilla support page, which describes manners on how to limit CPU usage, for instance “A Firefox add-on, called Flashblock, allows you to selectively enable and disable Flash content on Web sites.”
