You want an iPad but it is not within your budget? Now, you can the clone iPad – has the same idea as of the iPad but half its price.

China’s iPad will only sell for 2000 Yuan that is US$290 or A$320. It is a shameless knock-off of the original, but definitely not a total copy.

While the device shares the same name and branding and even shows off an Apple logo atop the screen, it has an iPod-style click wheel controller and uses a stylus instead of your finger. The UI also appears to be a Chinese clone of Apple’s OS X.

In the past, there have been Amazon Kindle applications for the PC, Apple iPhone and a number of other devices.

Recently, Amazon just announced the launch of the Amazon Kindle application for Apple Mac’s.

The Amazon Kindle for Macs will work with Mac OS X 1.5 and above and it lets you read your Amazon books on your Mac and also sync them with other devices like the iPhone. Amazon has also publicized that it will be soon releasing a version of their Amazon Kindle application for the Apple iPad, although the existing iPhone Application would work on the iPad an optimized one would be much better.

Apple’s ads on Australian technology pub PC Authority have been spotted displaying some rather unusual price tags for its flagship mobile and desktop computers. Whereas Cupertino’s Aussie online store lists the most affordable versions of the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and Mac Pro at A$1,599, A$1,999 and A$3,599, respectively, the above, official-looking ads would seem to conflict. Clicking on them still leads to the currently priced machines, but looking at them suggests that – in the absence of some major conspiracy or a splendidly random price hike.

It has been quite some time since Apple [AAPL] has updated its Mac Pro computer range, the latest rumor doing the rounds is that Apple are set to release a new version of the Mac pro and the update could come as early as next Tuesday the 16th  of March.

According to reports from ZDNet, the next generation Mac Pro will feature Intel’s new Core i7-980x Extreme six core processor, with a clock speed of 3.33GHZ and a TurboBoost to 3.6GHz.

Apple has unveiled a new developer program meant as software developers for their Mac computers. This new platform is based on the similar system as the iPhone Developer Program and it will eventually replace the current developer scheme.

The new Apple Mac Developer Program will cost just $99 a year and it will give developers an access to early builds of OS X, developer boards and technical support, plus a range of tools to program software for the new platform.

The main disparity between to the Mac Developer Program and the old scheme is that Apple has removed the hardware purchase program that gave developers a discount on Mac computers.

It seems like HP is intending to price its Slate Windows 7 Tablet more competitively than Apple’s new iPad, as details have been leaked that the mentioned tablet will come with 3G and will have similar specifications than that of the 3G iPad, but it looks like it will cost less than the $629 Apple will be charging for their 3G iPad.

HP executives are meeting up over the next few weeks to finalize the pricing details and it will be interesting to see how much cheaper the HP slate is than the Apple iPad.
