Asus launched the details of its latest addition to their Eee PC netbook range, the Asus Eee PC 1005P Pine Trail Netbook.

Intel’s new Pine Trail platform is the main feature of the Asus Eee PC 1005P. It will come with an Intel Atom N450 1.66 Ghz processor, a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1024 by 600 and graphics is provided by an Intel GMA 3150 graphics chip.

The other specifications of this new netbook include 1 GB RAM, a choice of either a 160 GB hard drive or a 250 GB hard drive, built-in 802.11 b/g WiFi and a six cell battery.

There are actually two models that will be available, the Asus Eee PC 1005P and the Asus Eee PC 1005PE. The PE model is reported to have an impressive battery life of up to 12 hours.

An Asus Eee PC 1005P will cost for about $395, while the 1005PE will cost for about $439. Both models will be available in two colors – black and white.
